As with most artists, events and travel experiences initiate a response to create art, strengthening memory and emotion. Responding in this way to this years solar eclipse crossing our continent in totality I have created a group of pieces dedicated to our unfathomable infinite cosmos. Traveling to Niagara Falls, Canada we witnessed the magical darkness and though the skies were cloudy the “ diamond ring” appeared briefly. The street and building lights seemed insignificant amidst nature’s magnificent display and illustrated our role within the cosmos.

Through these pieces my hope remains to stimulate thought; what is important and what role we can play in maintaining our planet and the skies above.
