Restoration

Restoration of damaged oil and acrylic paintings includes:

  • Patching torn canvases, completely Relining the canvas if the damage is extensive or the canvas is extremely weak.
  • Cleaning soiled or darkened varnish revealing the true colors and detail.
  • Filling damaged areas with picture putty and inpainting to match the original.
  • Varnishing with a non yellowing varnish for protection.

Frame restoration includes:

  • Rebuilding weak corners.
  • Filling gouges and any damage with wood filler.
  • Stabilizing cracking composition decoration, recasting missing sections, refinishing
  • casted and damaged area to the original finish.
  • Completely refinishing to the desired finish utilizing gilt creams, leafing with 22K gold or white gold leaf if needed, antiquing with washes if desired.
  • It has been a pleasure to restore family heirlooms enabling them to be continually passed to future generations.
