Restoration
Restoration of damaged oil and acrylic paintings includes:
- Patching torn canvases, completely Relining the canvas if the damage is extensive or the canvas is extremely weak.
- Cleaning soiled or darkened varnish revealing the true colors and detail.
- Filling damaged areas with picture putty and inpainting to match the original.
- Varnishing with a non yellowing varnish for protection.
Frame restoration includes:
- Rebuilding weak corners.
- Filling gouges and any damage with wood filler.
- Stabilizing cracking composition decoration, recasting missing sections, refinishing
- casted and damaged area to the original finish.
- Completely refinishing to the desired finish utilizing gilt creams, leafing with 22K gold or white gold leaf if needed, antiquing with washes if desired.
